About
Data storyteller. Community connector. Climate advocate.
Mark Rubin
I believe data has the power to drive meaningful change—and I've spent 5+ years proving it. From visualizing drought patterns in Washington's Yakima Basin to tracking scorching temperature anomalies in Arizona, I transform complex datasets into stories that spark action and inform decisions.
My work lives at the intersection of technical precision and human impact. I've built dashboards that help water managers understand century-long climate trends, mapped crime patterns to inform safer communities, and analyzed Formula 1 performance data to settle the GOAT debate. Whether it's Tableau, Python, or QGIS, the tools are just the beginning—the real work is making the invisible visible.
What drives me? Using data to address our most pressing challenges. I'm currently focused on climate data analysis and sustainability reporting, combining technical expertise with a commitment to environmental and social justice. I've completed climate fellowships with Terra.do and Climatebase, and I'm pursuing graduate education in ocean conservation because I believe data professionals belong in the community, not just behind the screen.
I bring more than analytics—I bring curiosity, collaboration, and a belief that the best insights come from listening as much as analyzing. Let's use data to build something that matters.
